Parent's Meeting
Tuesday, November 18th:
The parents meeting has been rescheduled. It is now on Tuesday, November 18th at 6:30pm at the high school. Please try to
attend.
Elite Practice
Monday, November 10th:
Optional practice for more experienced/advanced wrestlers ages 9 and up from 6:30-7:30pm. Bring your running shoes.
Practice Schedule for the 2008/09 Season
Beginning Tuesday, November 4th:
All practices are held at Richmond Burton Community High School in the wrestling room.
Wrestlers age 8 and under will practice from 5:30pm - 6:30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wrestlers age 9 and older will practice from 6:30pm - 8:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Come with headgear, wrestling shoes, and water. No street shoes are allowed on the mat and only water is allowed in the wrestling room (no gatorade).
Please get ready in the the hallway downstairs from the wrestling room and leave coats, street shoes and gym bags down in the hallway.
Parents if you plan on staying to watch practice, please stay off the mats and please be very quiet. The coaches will be very busy getting the kids into a routine and would like to keep distractions to a minimum.
Please make sure the kids are well behaved downstairs and respectful of the high school at all times.
Registration Information:
To register, complete all of the
forms linked below and return them along with payment to Kerry Gibson, 2616 Whitetail Dr., Spring Grove, IL 60081. Wrestlers cannot begin
practice until the application for their IKWF wrestling card is in.
First year wrestlers with RWC also need to include a copy of their birth certificate. Fee information
is included on the RWC Registration Form. Checks should be made payable to Richmond Wrestling Club.

If you are interested in coaching, you will need to complete the below forms and return them along with the $40 fee to Kerry Gibson at the
address listed above by October 10th.

Additional Information:
Tournament singlets are included in the fee. You will need to provide your own headgear and wrestling
shoes. Tournaments are typically held on Sundays, occasionally on Saturdays. They cost an additional
$12 - $15 per tournament. You only pay for the tournaments you would like to compete in. Wrestlers age
8 and under practice on Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30. Wrestlers age 9 and up practice on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00.

About the Club:
We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), youth-oriented, developmental wrestling
organization located in Richmond, Illinois instructing wrestlers ranging from
age 5 through 8th grade. We were established in 1988 and have members residing
in both Illinois and Wisconsin.
We are chartered with the
Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation, which is affiliated with USA
Wrestling, the national governing body for amateur wrestling in the United States.

The Richmond Wrestling Club has straightforward goals:
Safety
- The safety of the wrestlers is our top priority.
Sportsmanship
- The wrestlers and adults are expected to exhibit exemplary sportsmanship at all times.
Fundamentals
- The wrestlers will learn fundamental skills that can be utilized at all levels of wrestling.
Fitness
- The wrestlers will increase endurance, strength and balance to achieve higher levels of fitness.
Fun
- The wrestlers must have fun in order to maintain a high level of enthusiasm.
